LoL has a mor egregious business model and a few things that give you an advantage ingame that are bought/ earned outside of the main game including heroes. It also has quite a few gameplay mechanics differing from dota and dota 2. Stealth grass, respawning barracks, no denying, different hero roles, alot more aimed spells and less unit target and passives. to name a few.
Since you're a LoL player then you know that, if you want to unlock all content in LoL, champions and runes (which give in-game advantages which you can pay to unlock quicker) can cost you hundreds of dollars and up or you can grind for thousands of hours.
In Dota, to unlock all the heroes in the game, just install and run the game. That's it. They're all unlocked. There are no runes to grind or buy boosters for. The only discriminator is skill and experience. Cosmetics offer no advantages and you can get rare items and sets for free just by playing, and not once in a blue moon. I've gotten more than my fair share of mythical set drops.
Not only that but the Dota esports community is very well established. While Dota may not have the numbers that Riot claims LoL has, in the 2015 International, Dota's 5th and 6th place teams made more (over a million) than LoL's 1st place team.
As a sidenote, Riot claimed in 2013 that their peak concurrent player count was around 500,000. Now they claim it's nearly 8 million with an active player base of 30 million. Personally, I think they're fudging their numbers a bit.
Regardless, Valve has put their money where their mouth is in supported the Dota professional community.
LoL came on 2009.
DotA 2 was being developed during 2009 and released in the succeeding year.
So who copied who?
If you're dumb or blind then I can understand if you can't see the correlation here.
''Dota is wc mod came before lol''
''dota is better''
''are u dumb''
How can people get baited so damn hard.
Hmmmm...what came before both LoL and Dota 2? Hmmmm...Dota...TWO. There must be a reason why they call it...TWO.
I'm not serious, I do not believe this.
LoL is copy/clone of the genre (moba) and its different a bit from dota1/2
