How do I download Dota Allstars?

Title kind of speaks for itself. I have both Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne but how do I download the mod? I have seen many tutorials but they all vary in how they download the mod. Anyone know the best way to download the latest update for Dota Allstars? (I do run the game on Windows 7 just to let any of you know)

i got warcraft 3 from my friend and it already has dota in it, he said he didn't download the dota, its already there when he download the warcraft...

It's a map. People used to make those back in the days, before the developers got scared of user made content.

Simply download the map from the dota website and put it in the custom map folder.

By downloading the map, do you mean downloading the latest patch for Dota Allstars? I just did that, put it into the custom folder and went into custom maps. It did show Dota, but when I clicked on it, it wouldn't load. It did the transition as if it was going to load the map, but it sent me to the custom map menu instead.
