Failed to create D3D9 Device

Hey guys since the last update 1 hour ago, when I try to start dota 2, appears a error message that says: "Failed to create D3D9 Device", pls someone know why it appear? :'(

Try updating your drivers,
Reinstalling direct X
And maybe Verifying the integrety of the game cache.

I didn't found the solution... I had the same problem
I just opened Dota from Win 32
Steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/game/bin/win32

Well .. I have to restart my pc and *wooosh* magically solves the problem...Ty for your help (:

Tried to launch it from win 32 , restart PC , updating drivers and ♥♥♥♥ still the error pops out T_T

just now i was playing the game and then the Dota 2 error and forced close for that reason too.

yeah, i got the problem with D3D9, and used the same procedure for D3D.

My laptop shows "CRenderDeviceDx9::InvokeCreateDevice():
Failed to create D3D9 device, D3D9 is not working on this system." when i open my Dota 2. This is information about my computer :-

My laptop model is Lenovo Ideapad Flex 14.
Windows 8.1 Single Language
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30 GHz
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Resolution: 1366 x 768
NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M

I tried fixing the problem first by using properties>launch options and entering commands i found online such as -noborder -windowed -w 1920 -h1080 -dxlevel81. I relaunched multiple times and none of it worked.

Then i remembered i hadnt yet tried verifying integrity of game so I did that and then tried all of the console commands from before still with no success. I tried updating my NVIDIA drivers and then tried the console again. Still didn't work.

I hope you guys can help to fix this out. Thank you.

Hi, Had you tried with -w 1366 -h 768? since that's the resolution you're using.. also had you updated directx? try those two.
