techies skill
i hope steam will bring back the old techies skill were 4 bomb at lvl 1 can kill a hero i dont need unlimitted bomb! steam is so suck changing skill of a hero like techies they put unlimited but less power i am very disapointed.

if you have the same amount of time, its a buff, you used the same amount of mana in the same time, but you started regening a bit of it inbetween, your mana goes furthure now, not much, but it adds up

They arent less powerful. You can put down mines twice as fast.

-Mines used to be obnoxious, granting no gold when killed and exploding anyway
-LVL 1 red mines did the same damage as level 1 green mines, making the greens essentially useless. Why play with strategy when you can walk up and do like 500 damage?
-In the late game red mines were more useless, since you had a limited number.

The problem I have with it is that they defuse when destroyed now, and that they give off gold. This, combined with the fact that quelling blade is an instant kill for them, means that countering techies no longer takes skill. just buy a quelling blade and run around de-mining.

I personally still play the hero, but 6.85 made it so supports are motivated to de-mine, and i cant say i like that.

Then dont play him. I mean the main reason they changed him so much was that nooby techies players who just ran up, put down a red, and ran off would stop.
The new techies with unlimited mines is not exactly a buff, he just scales abit better into the lategame. Sure you have unlimited mines but you don't have the same burst early game:

If for example you get tossed/snowballed in you can drop and mine and suicide for easy double kills. But now that the damage was nerfed it kinda punishes non-calculated agression!

It takes the same amount of time to place the same about of damage in terms of stacked mines you just can't 500 physical damage instantly which needed to change for a while.

idk what you're talking about lol. techies is OP now, specially after this patch with lense and ♥♥♥♥. i don't even need these mines, since i got ulti and suicide.

The main difference was the damage type. If you were to compare it this way, then you would be saying that Lina's scepter is useless, right?
I still play Techies to this day.

You have to play that little bit smarter with mine placements in general to avoid the supports going to the usual areas and dewarding. Techies is supposed to play mind games with everyone.
