If you have good experience in facing this Sniper, then you should be able to find good ways to counter him. When you face an issue with his "too long" range shooting, try and go with invisibility or you can have a good jumper such as long Phantom Strike of PA, long blinker, etc. When you face his ultimate is too strong, you may try Linken's Sphere, Manta Style, Lotus Orb, etc.

Every hero and his/her skills can be countered. Mainly focusing on how deeply you have experienced or learned the strategies to counter that hero with your teamwork or tolerance. I am not to say my experience or strategy can be the best because I am still learning to be better, not to be the best. Hope it helps.

i love playing rubick and steal the rain and the gun so sniper can enjoy his own breath in. This also apply to pudge and many other annoypraisers witz zero brain. Feeding better bombrain and Hooking better hooks than pudge, this is IMO the best way to revenge every sniperwannabe or pudgetrap, as everyone know rubick the master magus can do it with 1 finger.

What I shared to him were just parts of my strategies because I may use other ways. If you think there are many other better ways, then you can share to him also. We can be friendly by being honest speaker to share ideas and it can show sharing is caring.

Seriously, midgame heroes don't take any damage from his ulti because they either have too much health or too much armor to take much damage from it at all. The only time it is useful is for keeping vision on them and/or getting the ministun effect for cancelling ultis and other useful aspects
