Antimage in recent years

This hero is just...
he is too weak, he doesn't have any signature, his mana burn never burns anyones mana fully, he is squishy, he has no damage, he has long cast points, It's just a disaster, I'm trying to finish the battlepass, I pick drow ranger, I kill everything and everyone, I pick antimage, It's just really really sad, doesn't matter what I do, even in a forced win, I still can't feel it, I watched burning antimage for recent patches, the only thing that changed is that he used his ultimates stun, which now the talent is gone, this hero is dead, why not rework his abilities entirely or just delete it? it's a griefing hero at this point.

It's easier to win 4 games with drow, than to hope for enemy team to just grief and you win with antimage, he has no dmg no attack speed, no slow(because you never drain anyones mana fully), he has like a risky deflect which doesn't do much, he has no silence, no stun, escape is very risky because he has really long cast points, I just don't get it, how is this hero supposed to be played anymore?

You would think he can kill invoker which is supposed to be a mage, but invoker has disarm, invis, armor reduction units, sunstrike, tornado, which am can not defend against any of them, and meteor would just straight up kill you, so you can just pick a "Mage" against "Anti Mage" for gods sake, and it wouldn't be a problem, change the hero name to something like magic hater or smth

anti mage just needs to farm 30 minutes but lategame am is kind of useless vs high hp tanks like pudge,centaur,mars who have little mana ..then again with skadi and scepter it becomes easy to kite them and pushing towers is easy if enemy team is uncoordinated and has no hex stuns/silences on demand

have you heard of bkb lol.... i know its a unpopular pick but you can keep it in backpack and use on cooldowns

Just like with sniper, any scenario where you can jump a low hp, low armor ranged hero a melee may perform better.
If you cannot think of a scenario where AM could be better that's just you having skill issues. I don't like AM the way it currently plays but dude you're way off the mark.

AM has pretty extreme matchups, which is why he feels so inconsistent. He's a hyper mobile carry with respectable damage across all stages of the game. Almost all recent patches have been in his favor too.

The problem is that pubs don't understand Dota, so they just pick AM into everything.
