Twitch Drops are a feature on Twitch to give you in-game rewards by watching streamers who opt into the game developer's Drop campaign. It is completely automated and does not need you to fill any forms or give any data. For example you watch a streamer playing Genshin Impact for 2 hours and you get some item code through your Twitch notifications.

https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/mission-based-drops

If someone is sending you a whisper (private message), that is not a Twitch Drop.

"ewc_dota2" is the correct username for one of the Esports World Cup's Twitch channels though. You could double-check with their other social media accounts if it is legit.

Seems legit, no sensitive info given, and the forms itself was made by the ESL Organization. According to the EWC Facebook page, they hosted a giveaway for a ton of arcanas and bundles too. Just wait for the trade offer.

Regardless, that is not a Twitch Drop, which is a specific Twitch feature with a specific UX. Calling their DIY, private-message-based giveaway a Twitch Drop is bad, and trains users to be vulnerable to scams that use similar private messages.

(I don't know if EWC called their giveaway a Twitch Drop, I am only referring to this thread's title.)

Also it's great that you checked, but notice the first reply to this thread says they "received a chat from twitch". This is why scams are so successful (also on Steam).

well, if it came from chat then it sure is a scam. I read about twitch drops n how it works, and dota 2 ewc seemed different, but all i did was do simple checking and what info im giving thats all. so relax, if u recieved one, up to u to fill it up for we all r responsible for own decisions. cheers

I received the same message from EWC_CS. I hope they will give us a drop. If they give it to you, can you write what they gave you?

They didn't ask for sensitive information—just the trade link. And besides, it's from the official EWC_dota2 channel.
