Why does no one play Visage?

What kind of buffs does he need in order to be viable, in your opinion? Such a shame because his design looks cool. I've literally never played with or against a Visage.

There are some heroes that aren't played not because they are week, but because their abilities require good coordination (often lacking in Pubs), they need a specific combo of teammates to function well, or they just have a very high skill-ceiling (making them unpopular in many brackets). This includes most heroes that requiring microing multiple units.

Buffing them would make them OP in the pro-level bracket, but for pubs there are just all-around easier heroes to choose.

too difficult. min-maxing visage is stupidly hard in a regular pub game... I say this with Visage being my #4 best rated hero of all time according to Dota's in-game rating system which determines the 3 heroes which appear on your profile... So as someone who is pretty decent as Visage I'll tell you that Visage sucks.

As Deep's said, Visage is a peculiar hero. Heck, I try to play around him with as little reliance on his ultimate due to how paranoid I am at just feeding them off to certain heroes who are able to kill them off quickly. His entire kit's a little strange and uncentralized into doing anything too specific so yeah, you're not going to see him picked often due to difficulty. He can be absolutely nasty though in the right team compositions or lanes, typically with someone who can heal or tank damage well, or someone with good crowd control.

Yeah, I typically keep them near me if I'm not sending the out just to scout tings, like obs where I don't have actual sustainable vision on near a sentry or to check runes or I'm dead. Their damage is definitely significant though, and is why you see Visage players building aura items like Assault Cuirass and Vlads.

Imba hero for midlane for insane boost or grinding mmr, if practiced long enough. Like lycan or broodmother. It's just difficult at the beginning to handle those heroes, that's why people dont pick then and go some antimages.

BTW visage is also good as pos 4.

Visage is crazy strong and prefer to finish games as early as possible preferably with other pushers.

Just wait till you play vs good visage.

because I random every game. 12 is pretty high. i think monkey king only has 1 game from my randoms. Also it doesn't count turbo games which I main.

visage is damn good but may be its hard to master so very less people play it. I had fun with visage few games took me 3 games to understand how to play it, after that .. EZ. But you need good micro skills else you can play it as a left click hero :P

The most problematic thing may be the gap between min-max damages, many heroes got this issue fixed in previous patches, but not visage, his attack projectiles are also a bit slow.
