Playing him as a pos 1 sounds awful not to mention he'd get compeltly destroyed by the offlane.
Yes I understand it. More exp. I have over 1000 games on invoker.
The thing is exort invoker needs space. It can't run around and be fast paced like quas wex. It can almost do nothing except 1v1 some heroes until you get a bkb or if your team has chrono / ravage. If you play slow like exort in mid and your carry also farms then you will lose the game.
He doesn't get destroyed by the offlane quas regen + tangos keep him in the lane and forge spirit dumps on melee offlaners.
far to risky for its return.
io worked because not only can he force 2-3 v1 fights but his AoE spirits allow him to flash farm stacks and when he hits 25, io becomes a nightmare even as a support.
Yea I just mentioned the Io to illustrate the fact that untraditional heroes can be succesfull in the carry role because there are alot of naysayers out there who just disregard everything they don't know. Invoker pos 1 was done by VG for example but not many people know it and they just call it trash while VG is better than they will ever be.
