Only you can decide if it's worth it, ultimately. If you plan to REALLY pay close attention to the TI competition and love supporting pro players, then yes, probably. If you only play casually and just care about cosmetics, then definitely not.

I believe "Collector's Aeigs" is the physical trophy of the aegis, the shield-like thing that is the symbol of The International. It has always been one of the highest level rewards for battle pass progression in the recent years (the requirement was reaching level 1000 or 2000 i think).

Basically, it is a physical figure that you get for reaching really high level on the Battle Pass

this site talks about the rewards from compendium available this year and how they work, the aegis is at the very bottom:

Not even remotely. It's loading screens and stickers. 2023 had the worst prize pool of any TI in recent years and for good reason. Nobody bought it because nobody wants to buy loading screens. There is almost nothing worth buying it for and you aren't even guaranteed to get a lot of the items in it. Do not buy unless you really want to play fantasy dota which you can do on your own for free. I cannot actually believe they put out this garbage.

The prize pool was significantly lower last year because Valve wasn't putting a portion of cosmetic sales towards it, which does feel kinda greedy. If you're not taking directly from the players to contribute towards the pot, then up the initial amount that YOU put in yourself to make up at least some of the difference.

Personally I've never been a big follower of the pro-scene, so I don't really care, but it does feel like Valve doesn't actually want TI to be a big event that attracts a lot of talent. Which is what the huge prizepool did- it was, AFAIK, one of the biggest prizes in e-sports.

Valve has given up on wanting to be bothered with ti. The next ti is being handed off to another company. This is despite the fact that ti was very lucrative. Valve now sells the cosmetics and arcanas that would have been apart of the previous compendium as part of quarterly updates, which allows them to keep all revenue from the sales and not put 25% to ti prize pool.

So yes, its greedy. Theyve given up on the pro scene to take even more profit for themselves when they were already making money hand over fist in dota 2.

I'm talking about this in another thread related to the new hero (Ringmaster), but IMO there's been several of those kinds of "this feels like no one really tried" moments this summer. And it's starting to get old.

not worth to buy.
it's for long time fans whom already know what a collectors agies is. and have collected them for years.

I refuse to pay for stickers and loading screens.
I would however pay for a Arcana locked behind a 200 dollar battlepass.

Well have I got good news for you, friend!

Because there's an event going on right now called "crownfall" where you can buy an arcana and then pay EVEN MORE to unlock the alternate secondary styles.
