Yeah, it really truly doesnt. It doesnt promote the game, it doesnt promote the tournament... its the weirdest thing. They put literally NO effort into that Compendium. I have purchased it and gone up hundreds of levels every year except this year and last year because of this...
Not sure who is managing the TI and the compendium... but those managers are costing valve a lot of PR and a lot of money.

even you cry your eyes out, Valve wont listen. that's proven remember the good old Events like Diretide, Yearbeast and Greeviling? a lot of people in dota community is crying for another event like that or even bring back the old events but Valve does not care at all.
when they release the new Diretide Event almost the half of the playerpool is gone because it was too late to release and players do not care anymore.

They delete the BP last year and this year too so after crownfall we will get another event. Its called give and take. They take the BP event but they spread the event through out the years.

Its me who ask them to stop the BP in TI singapore. They know Kagami in dota2 forum so they said they consider my suggestion.

Compendium Immortals are the definition of fomo, I'm damn glad they're gone.

Valve said last year they aren't doing large compendiums any more and focusing on year long content (like crownfall stuff is) because MOST players don't actually buy into the compendium / interact with it as much as the rest it seems (I was surprised to hear that, but then realise that yes most would be free-to-play only. Makes sense.)

Either way, this shouldn't be a surprise given they SAID it would be like this.

Correct and here is another confirmed info. There won’t be any TI battlepass next year too. I know some player don’t like this. But its a fact.
