2. If you could leave without penalty half the games won't go past drafting stage which will increase q times a lot
The drafting of heroes can be bad or does not follow the necessary picking because most players who play the game currently play the game based on the requirements for the current "Crownfall" event that could return tokens for them to unlock the paths there.
The current event named "Crownfall" is compromising too much of bad team composition already and to me, such an event should NOT be accomplished in such a way! - The requirement(s) of that event should be made separately from the in-game matchmaking because the Dota 2 game is a game that mainly focuses on matchmaking of the "Ranked" or "Unranked" games besides the TI tournament.
If the developers set the event to connect with the in-game matchmaking, then what do you guys think the "TI tournament" could become when other modes or event(s) are connected into the "TI tournament" also? The future of the "TI tournament" definitely will be ruined also.
True.
Nearly impossible to come back from a very bad pick.
You can try to go tanky when you don't have a tank, or go dmg dealer when you don't have a good damage dealer , but that will just be a mess.
Usually if they can't counter pick a good core _and_ choose a core that is working great with you (and you first picked as support/hard support) then, they are ignorant enough to not even understand many other things.. so it's lost.
