how are people still shocked by alch 5

alch has been a stable pos 5 pick for 10 years now and a common pick for 5 years yet people still freak out about it

he currently offers min 0 bottle for mid, consistent stun that gives strong lane and teamfight, -armour and +armour, berserk potion, free aghs for teammate

it’s like bots see alch, and are only capable of comprehending greedy hero

yea it's kinda why I just don't pick more less known supports because I have to worry about being reported because they dont understand

Most people playing Dota don't even know how to build a hero let alone recognize what's good and what isn't patch to patch.

When Sniper got his Agh change I started running him 4 and I got reported and yelled at for days until the pros started doing it, then suddenly it was "meta".

Not to be insulting but I take everything core players say with the smallest grain of salt.

I pick luna/dusa as pos45 ... always reports, many people go "abandon" in picking screen

I dont blame them ,, from now I see its idiotic dota2
...
so same with alch pos5 ... people are angry already, nothing to do with alch pos5

Sniper 4 can work if you build him right, but too often I see "Sniper 4's" rush an Aghs, worthless, and then just build a regular sniper carry build and they'll claim theyre supping.

building damage on 4 sniper is pretty reasonable after you get aghs and defensive items, it lets you scale and makes your ultra stronger. it’s same as going kaya late on skywrath 4

let's see the bad thing:
- gets troubled when pressured, especially for support.
- need item, hard to play him without it, which leads to,
- you need farm, which is against what supports do
- there is a lot of supports that is does the same/better than alchemist without as much investment as him

cm get troubled if you pressure her, alch is generally a good laner with a strong nuke and stun and good stats for trading, especially in his q

no he doesnt, he gets bonuses from any cs he gets but he doesn’t need that

“does the same as other heroes”
no other hero in the game can give aghs to a teammate and give bottle to mid laner at min 0

Abba in any role got giga-neutered in the big patch. Curse of Avernus no longer Silencing killed the main thing he was good at which was being a tanky boi that can run in and shut down an enemy core if they didn't have BKB. Now Manta Abba is useless, Echo Sabre is only good for the stats now since the fast double strike serves no major benefit anymore. Now he's just a tanky boi that honestly isn't even that amazing at doing anything if the enemy decides not to focus on him.

Real question is how someone can skip WitchDoctor, Lion, Oracle, Shadow shaman, Warlock, Dazzle, Undying, ... and picks Alch for Hard Support?!
And i dont remember for at least 6,7 years that Alch would be a legit or meta hard support (pos 5). So what are you talking about?!
Pos 4 alch is another story. but pos 5 alch, never seen, never heard.
