Matchmaking kicking me out for no reason

Hi all,

I have been having an extremely annoying issue with matchmaking. I get matched into a game lobby and then I click Accept. And then the screen goes blank for a while and then the only thing I can see is a very minimal hero lobby selection screen - I see only the hero tiles on the upper bar (no player names) and the remaining screen is just black. I can't even see the hero selection screen

And then without any reason, the next screen is the dota home screen and I have been slammed with an abandoned game. I mean wtf is going on ? This has happened a number of times now. The game has not even started. I have not even been able to see who my fellow players are. Absolutely nothing!

Anybody else facing this annoying issue ? because of this my player reputation score is getting affected and matchmaking seems to take a lot longer

Is there anyway to contact dota or steam support ? They have a terrible help system

yes, and i contacted support but they are just saying its the fault of my pc or my specs or my installation bla bla. they arent doing anything to help you. and they never exept that something is wrong on their side. they never confess their fails.
i never did anything. no new pc, no reinstall, nothing.
the next patch fixed my issue again... so^^

man, that just BS. It never was this bad. How did you contact them ?

womp womp. The reason you get an abandon is because its your responsibility to make sure you can connect and stay connected to the game once you hit accept, you wasted the time of 9 other people by not doing so and deserve to incur the abandon penalty.

If it occurs once, then you won't ended up in LPQ

You ruin more than 20 people in total for wasting time and effort in queueing for dota 2 matches

Did you even bother to read the post properly or do you have trouble with comprehension ?

Like I said, I hit accept, it takes me to hero selection lobby. Once in, I can only see the player tiles up on top, the chat bar and few other interface. I can even hear the in-lobby audio say "Your turn to ban" and then the next thing is I am back at the home screen

If you don't have anything constructive to say then just don't say anything.

And I doubt it is a hardware issue. I never had this problem until a couple weeks back when the new patch was released

You have taken a plausible scenario here. If that were the case I wouldn't even bother posting something about it and just think of it as bad luck

But my scenario is entirely different. You can sit there and chalk it up "my computer not being good enough". That would be acceptable even if that was the case. I have been playing dota2 for the past year or so on the same computer and the spec and not had issues.

Heck, you were ready on "poor computer specs" without even considering if my internet connection was to blame. And my wifi cutting out has happened in the past, that too rarely. Even if that were the case I would have put that as bad luck

Like I mentioned, all this started only with the most recent patch. All I wanted to know if there were others who were experiencing this and how they were able to address it.

If the fault is something on my side then give me tips on what I could instead just saying "don't blame others and I deserved to be abandoned". Maybe you need to come out of the dark and dingy basement that you are holed up in
