Dota 2
As a non-player, what is crown fall, is it a moba or something different?
Is it a content pack for the moba dota2? It doesn't seem to be a standalone game.

Is it pvp or pve? How much would I need to know dota2 mechanics to enjoy the game? Would I be bringing down a team if I tried to jump in and learn, or is it solo friendly?

I played league for many years a long time ago. I tried dota2 a couple times, but the pvp isn't good for my blood pressure any more, but this might be my cup of tea, I'm just having trouble figuring out what it is.

Crownfall is a minigame within the game to give players something to work towards while we play, similar to the way a battle plays a part in a war. The game is the same (minus whatever patch and meta updates are current).
