this little bit of a back story, the creator that made LoL actually made dota 1 but since blizzard wouldn't hire him to make dota and actual game he moved on to make League and gave the remaining game to Ice frog who updated the game regularly on a game called Warcraft 3 the frozen throne well many years go by and dota is still pretty much most game played on this mod which is on wc3tft and then vavle offers ice frog a job by creating dota 2

Dota is the first moba that had millions of player. League copy Dota by taking Eul as their main developer and make the game less complicated. So its the otherway around.

Dota is a good game, but it suffers from the same aspects as any moba game.
This is completely different experience in terms of gameplay to compare with League.
You should definitely try it.

Dota and League are different. Dota requires much more skill and knowledge and teamwork. You know how League is all about using abilities and dodging them, and not much else? You always have the safety of your tower to protect your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ plays? Well, in Dota, you get punished, esp if your teamplay is not on point. Dota is just far more complex.

But if you're leaving League because it's "too liberal" then please, don't play Dota. We don't need some weirdo who has been absorbed by the alt-right tube or a fascist.

matchmaking isn't really rigged, other 2 are true though. Heroes are much less skill shot based so spells are easier to hit, but strategy is a lot more important than in lol, much bigger map and a lot more going on. Comebacks are easier so games are a bit longer and more involved. Overall I like dota more but it will take some getting used to if you try it out.
