They also removed least played at the same time.
Might be fun if the brought them back on occasion, like for a weekend special-event or something.
It is a lot of fun! and maybe because players who plays this mode are pretty confident they can somewhat play every hero or wanna learn more and expand their hero pool.
All Random sounds interesting until you get a hero that you absolutely have no idea how to use, or your team is 4 tanks and a support while the other team has actual carry-heroes.
I sometimes do Single Draft or Random draft which provide a lot of the benefits of All Random (you're not up against someone spamming their 400th match of Invoker or against yet another Sniper picker) but also mitigate many of the drawbacks of the ABSOLUTE randomness of All Random mode.
If you really miss All Random, try one of those other 2 modes I mentioned instead.

As I said, other sort-of-random-ish modes provided much of the benefit with fewer of the drawbacks. If that doesn't work for you, well, I hate to say it but most of the DotA community disagrees, and Valve caters to where the market is. Sorry.
