Hear me out: Khanda on Phantom Assassin

With the 7.36 changes, PA got the Methodical Facet, which changes her Coupe de Grace from an RNG critical hit to a guaranteed critical hit after 6 strikes. Before, you wouldn't want to buy crits on PA because even a Daedalus was going to give you weaker crits than her passive ultimate. Crits can't stack, so only the higher damage critical strike would matter.

When Phylactery was introduced, it was pretty bad, but people tried it on some heroes who might get good use out of it. On paper, PA has a good means of applying the damage with two target spells with very low cooldowns. Of course, for a carry like PA, you don't want to invest in a dead end item like phylactery which won't help you later in the game.

Now that Phylactery builds into Khanda, and PA has the option to take Methodical, there's a lot of value in giving crit chance to your attacks before Coupe de Grace charges up. Of course, Khanda is still an expensive item that might delay your BKB, or your attack speed items, or your Battlefury, or a Basher, and all that damage might end up being wasted if you have no means of applying it properly.

That being said, if you build the Phylactery first to get some guaranteed harass damage, might you be able to eventually get enough tempo to build that extension item?

I think there's a lot of potential here, but I've only tried it twice against bots, and am 1 for 2.
