Dota 2

Why does Valve keep making massive changes to the game?
7.33 is the largest patch that DOTA has ever received, and it doubled the complexity in the game. since the introduction of 7.33, the balance has been at the worst state that the game has ever seen, largely because the map changes strongly favor team-deathball strategies while strongly disfavoring splitpushing.

Now, they add the facet system which is essentially a copy/paste of the passive system from SMITE. DOTA is NOT designed for each character to have an innate passive let alone 2 different versions of a passive. Balance is going to be all over the place and for the worse.

I rather it be "stale" and balanced. not the talent system all over again... 7.0 ruined the game for almost a year... I can imagine this being the same situation.
Also Dota 2 and it being "stale" never stopped it's popularity.

The game is still noticeably worse and 1-sided more than a year after 7.33. Now they added a whole other complex mechanic which will further exacerbate balance problems.

To make it more playable like LOL.
Valve is jealous of LOL player base.

Yea, but SMITE and LOL were designed from the ground up to have a passive system and to be more like teamdeathmatch. DOTA is actively worse because of these changes that streamlined gameplay to be more like SMITE and LOL.

LOL so what do you enjoy? Having completely changed skill sets and all the mastering we did goto waste? Start from zero again? Is that fun to you? or wait maybe it is fun for noob like you to always be discovering new s*** just to keep it “not stale”

Calm down. It's not like they added major changes to the game. How is this patch different from any major updates we had before? Some innate / facets are just old skills or features of the heroes.

Of course there will be bugs and inbalances at first but it'll be patched sooner or later.

This isn't a major update? They not only reworked most abilities in the game, but they added new passives as well. This update is the third largest in DOTA's history, and this update was released less than 2 years after the largest update in DOTA's history. So yes, Valve is out of control with their haphazard and poorly thought-out updates.

?? Math is not your best friend? You take the top winrate, around 55% now and the bottom winrate around 40% now. You make a simple calculation: 55/40= 1.375 This is how much heroes alone affect the outcome, if top hero meets the bottom hero. This is WAY too much!

It is out of the question, that the game imbalanced AF again. Our time is now invested to rebalance it and for some part, we have to relearn the game again. It may be ok for those, who can spend a lot of time on gaming. But those, who have other things in life too, dislike major meta changes.

And yes, if they hate certain heroes that much, why not to (temporarily) take them out of game!? Why fk around?? Why the fkk is Abbadon OP for a whole year already and Mirana is just constantly nerfed like 3 years in a row!? This innate now? Is this a joke? because I am not laughing...

VERY unhappy with the patch. BS in its worst.

I agree. Needlessly complex for no reason.

Much rather have them fix the BS system or add a faster paced mode that is still competitive.

Calm down, this is not even close to starting from zero. You will get used to it in less than 2 weeks

Passives aren't that game changing i gotta say, although i wish they barred ranked for like a week after these patches, and the crownfall ♥♥♥♥ too should be barred from ranked, i hate ppl force picking heroes for cosmetics

well the people who designed the game seem to disagree with you.

Changes are a crucial measure to prevent video games from running into stagnation. And yes, Valve is a copy cat. For years Dota2 players loved to mock on LoL but applauded when Valve implemented a role based mm like in LoL (but much worse implemented as in LoL).
