Does the new ban system work with premades?
Because the way that it is structured now, if 5 people select to ban the same character, then there is a

(0.25)+(0.75*0.25)+(0.75*0.75*0.25)+(0.75*0.75*0.75*0.25)+(0.75*0.75*0.75*0.75*0.25) = 0.7626953

or 76% chance that the specific character is banned.

In general, the new ban system is highly abusive as if merely 3 people have the same character selected to be banned, then there is a 57% chance that the character is banned. With the old system, there was a 50% chance to ban a character.

This new system will dramatically affect the meta, because if a character is strong (or annoying to play against) then that character will get banned if only 3 people want that character banned. That means that evergreen ban targets like Sniper, Phantom Assassin, and BristleBrick will almost always get banned.

Did Valve not run the numbers on this? Did they design yet another system that premades can abuse?

I seriously have 0 idea how Valve can continue to make disastrous decisions. Its confusing, because all changes since 7.33 require effort, but whoever is directing these choices have no idea what they are doing. Its a waste of time, effort, and resources to actively make the game worse and less approachable.

if you are using something telling you what heroes to ban you are the issue. ban the heroes you dont like to play against if your hero is on that list and you never get to pick that hero.... well learn a new pfhucking hero you one trick pony

I mean there is no way to quantify how many people actually use third party software to influence their bans, but even if they did thats a 50% chance to ban a single hero. The cheaters just as well could try to ban a hero from one of your teammates.

I don't see the purpose of adding a new system that is far more abusable and meta-warping. Classic case of Valve taking an issue and making it into a catastrophe.
