Can't open the game on M2 Pro macbook pro.

Today, I can't open the game . It's always no responding and I need to force quit it.

Check for MAC OS Updates
Restart the laptop

Same problem here. M1 Max. I updated to latest MacOS, reinstalled the game, verified integrity, restarted computer...still freezes and crashes upon opening the game.

same issue for me. before it was ok, but after the dota update then it can't start (keep crashing). i thought update to latest MacOS will resolve the issue, but it not.

Had same issue. Solution - reset video settings (exclusive fullscreen mode broken after patch) You can do it with -autoconfig command for launch settings

I am facing the same issue here. M1 Sonoma 14.3.1

Add -sw to the config to run in window mode. That was the only way to make it work; later, you can change to full screen, but it will come in window mode next time until they fix the issue.
