Something happened to Turbo matchmaking

Hey there! I'm writing this hoping somebody can help me understand what happened to turbo games in the last month.

I've been playing since the beginning of Dota 1 but in the past ... 5years? I've been playing only turbo games. I don't even have a settled mmr because I was playing mainly turbo games when the ranking system came along.

I have enjoyed turbo games for all these years but SOMETHING HAPPENED in the last month.

-in the first 5 minutes of the game you can clearly predict if you are in the winning or the losing team like there is no more balance anymore
-lots of games end in 15 minutes
-it just seems like all the pro players started entering turbo matches and lots of them, most, are waaaay above my skill level
-I lose most games and I've stopped being the match MVP - it just does not happen anymore
-the imbalance is so bad that it makes you lose any hope when you see in minute 5 that the score is 10-2 for the other team or, if I am in the "winning" team it makes me feel like I have no contribution to it - just got lucky

What changed?
Did some rules change?
Are there some new cheats on the market?
Did the matchmaking system change recently?
I've been playing only turbo for so much time and I was able to enjoy it but now I can't enjoy it anymore either if I win or lose.

Not sure if this is just a correlation, but, many players try to raise their bscore/comscore. They are being put randomly in one pool for turbo (without mmr calculations afaik). So if you happen to see one sided games, it could due this factor. On the other hand, you can always try to pick a hero with good snowball potential and make it harder for those with "higher mmr" to scale into ending the game min 15.
But honestly, this is nothing, but pure speculation from my side.

As slippy hoof mentioned, people that usually don't go for turbo populate the mode now for bs/cc farming. In addition, because of the very nature of turbo mode, turbo spammers like you are moving further and further away from their normal, unranked skill level, which is the basis for turbo matchmaking. As this applies to a lot of turbo gamers the mode becomes more and more mixed skill gaming over the years.

What could I do about it? If I join 5-10 ranked games to (finally) set my rank (hopefully a really low one) will that get me in better, lower skilled turbo games? Would it help ?

How about if I lower my comm score? Idk ... as a stupid measure just call everybody a noob and hope they report me. Will that get me in lower ranked games? (It would be sad to have to do that in order to enjoy this game, lol)

No. You already have hidden mmr/elo, whitch determines your skill level and your teammates. Just try to "enjoy" this matchmaking system

Sorry to say but MMR is a biggest BS in this game :) You will be constantly around 50% win - 50% lose with small deviation :) Because this is how matchmaking had been design :) to keep casual player base in the game ;) Than better you will be playing than worse teammates you will be getting when you will be on lose streak :) This will only make you more angry :)

I have been having the same problems too but in my case i am being placed in obvious smurf lobbies, People with 50-100 matches played and 30 mvps. meepo, tinker spammers etc.

You are absolutely right something did happen this month cause all of my games have been unplayable as well. My queue are triple long and i am being placed in the same smurf pool over and over. I am playing during the busiest hours and my behavious score is also 12k.
