Mainmenu not usable (extrem slow) on Mac mini M2

Hi,
I have a Mac Mini m2 (base model). The Dota main menu initially starts normally.
Then it gets slower and slower.
After about 1 minute the whole menu is so slow that I can no longer use it.
The game itself runs smoothly (< 60 fps).

I have installed macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.
Does anyone have an idea what this could be?
I have already tried various start options:
-high
-safe_mode
-map dota
....


I have already deactivated the new MacOS game mode. I've reinstalled the game several times. (Local SSD + external SSD) Unfortunately everything was unsuccessful.

Same for me. I suspect its the fog animation at the bottom right of the screen. Whenever I switch to a menu that reduces or eliminates the fog, the game speeds back up to normal.

Hey found a possible fix.
I disabled the Chat. Everything works fine now.

Dunno why.

Just leave the main chatroom and restart the game.
