Dragon Knight.

Vulnerable to break - like viper poison pool, or silver edge - but not as much as bristleback.
Good as a midlaner, offlaner or carry in most metas: and does well.
Offlane DK = Blink BKB Stun Initiation - heroes like venom are annoying to all initiators.

It's an easy to learn, hard to master hero.

DK has very low win rate in current meta, look more for cores like Faceless Void.

Wraith King

The mana issue to ressurect is not a barrier anymore.
It's currently acceptable as offlaner and carry.
You have built in aegis, that really comes in hand.

Easy to learn, direct play.

Silencer

Has great harass in lane to be both a sup 4 and 5 without griefing if you have a good comm line with the pos 3 and 4.
Is a strong counter to heroes like Timber - it really just make it a non hero for the match.
Can progress from support to soft carry.
Ult can be used from fountain and help turn TF.

Faceless void requires A lot of communication, specially for the team to understand that, when your ult is down, you are in a huge disavantage, same as WK. But unlike WK, faceless void has a lot of mechanical things that makes him both rng and proper play - he recently got nerfed, his passive doesn't proc on deny anymore.

But, from all the HC's, I think he is the strongest. If you keep up your networth, you can solo anyone, at any give time, given the proper "opportunity attack" happens with flawless execution. And his ult can just change the teamfights completely, but also, can crumble teams. I would say it's one of the hardest heroes - decision wise - in the game - except maybe when Magnus was HC during that meta he was broken because of the universal changes? I mean, you got an extremely long ult that isn't a nuke, but it's a control spell that allows you to nuke.

Sure, it is a great hero to master. I would also advice drow ranger - the hero is the basic - stay behind, do damage, that you expect from a HC pub, her ult can ignore damage and she can itemize defensively and offensively and it's usually always good in the meta, most of the times.

Drow hasnt been good in most metas.she start get popular recently but the hero gets too many changes for it to be consistant meta pick.
It is a good laner though because you can abuse orb walking.
I think heros like weaver have least counters. One of easiest heros in game to play and has very few hard counters. It can usualy play into most of its counters too except for faceless void.

Void is a strong hero but it really comes down to how good enemy position is and if your team mates lockdown those crucial heros that can interupt your chrono or supports with saves for chronoed enemies.

Sure thing about weaver.

Void with Refresher Orb, fully slotted, is a beast thou. If you have confidence in your team initiation, you can timewalk chrono twice, get the "lets say drow" in the back and kill her in the second chrono, while your team deals with the people stunned in the first chrono. Before Refresher orb and shard shared a cd, it was even more abusive. It's total control of the battlefield and you even get backtrack as passive.

Good point you mentioned about Drow, she is also good because teaches the importance of orb attack abuse and creep aggro, two important concepts to learn that are just missing from the tutorial.

No sure drow teaches new player about lane agro because orb walking is only available on very few amount of heroes.new player might get into bad habit of tanking creep hits and getting confused why creeps hitting them if they've been just play drow or viper.
And while you can argue that void is a beast 6 slotted its not guaranteed new player get 6 slotted on void.
Early gamer void for example is quite bad.usualy dont have the damage for solo kills with chrono so needs usualy a support or ranged hero to help secure kill.i say ranged because melee heroes usualy dont have a cast range long enough to attack enemy hero in chrono and obviously cant melee hit.
I actually dont reccomend void to main as a new player because as good as chrono is you can also be the one who cause your team to lose by chronoing team mates.
its one of the heroes a new player more likely to get reports on
