Mic doesn't work in Dota 2, but it works outside Dota2

Can someone help me? I have been googling for weeks now, keep trying to unplug it and replug it to another USB port and restarting computer and things, but it just won't work! It works under steam Setting > Test Microphone, I can clearly see my mic is working and I am able to hear my own voice and see the voice level, but when I started Dota2 and press push to talk, it has a red slash over my mic, and no one can hear me, even with open mic, it still has a red slash, I swear it works everywhere but Dota2! I just can't seem to find a solution.

I am using a HyperX 7.1 headphone with a mic built in, can someone help me please? I wouldn't ask for help if I haven't done my research over weeks. Please!

Maybe you have an exotic button? Not all buttons work.

Try something like O,P and see if it works if you have some country-specific key bound to it.

I don't think it is the button problem, because open mic doesn't work, but I did take your advise and test with many different buttons, but it is still the same.

There's a highlighted series of words near the mic-test volume bar. it reads steam voice settings

Ensure that the correct Audio device is selected int he voice tab. Ensure the Voice Volume in said tab is not at 0

If you mean in dota 2, steam voice settings, I can see my mic is working, because when I speak, I can see ''Current Record Level'' is moving, because it detects my voices, but when I press the button to speak, it has a red slash on the mic, like I am muted or something but I am not... about Voice Volue in said tab, I dont get what you mean, but all the volume in dota2 are 100%

Check again if you disabled all other devices under Recording panel, leave only your mic, and set it both as default device and default communication device.
Under Steam Voice Settings, re-test your microphone. Set Recording and Receive volume to half. Set a push-to-talk key.
Under Dota 2 Audio settings, uncheck both Open Mic. Set different keys (and not the same as the Steam Voice one). Set Open Mic Threshold to higher than 8%.
Uncheck Autodetect Audio Latency and Streamlined Push To Talk.

Check if you have other communication software running that might fight Dota 2 for control (TeamSpeak, Discord etc). - make sure you set up different keys for those and no open mic.
On Windows 10 I had an unusual bug where a Sound Recorder app was running in the background, blocking the mic. You should disable background apps that use your camera and mic (Privacy - Background apps) or disable access under Privacy - Camera - Let apps use my camera=No / Microphone - Let apps use my microphone=No.
As a last resort, Sound - Recording devices - Your Mic - Properties - Advanced - Uncheck both settings under Exclusive Mode and reboot.

Guys if you have Realtek hd audio, go to -->Realtek audio manager from Task bar-->microfon tab and look at level bar and near situated an icon of muted sound,unmute it.
In dota: --> options --> sound tab-->reset to defeault button.

Go to dota audio,push G to talk to team or set open mic.

Please i need help, why cant use mic. All setting seen ok. Using mic test at steam also seen like ok. It detect my voice. But ingame cant detect my voice.
