dota 2 update stuck at 99%

My dota stuck at 99% 7.2GB/7.2GB downloaded.
it say "an error occurred while updating dota 2 (connection timeout)"

i've tried to
1. redownload
2. uninstall dota and steam and redownload
3. restart steam
4. restart my computer
5. changing download location
6. change to steam beta

i've tried all at least 5 fkng times.

all not working.. please if anyone can help me with this. it's been 2 week.

i really dont know but that is a very sad story that you keep having to restart at 7.2gb

I also tried everything I could and nothing of these things mentioned above worked. But unchecking the following DLCs and resuming update fixed the issue:

1- Dota 2 - OpenGL support for Windows
2- Dota 2 - Vulkun Support
3- Dota 2 - Workshop Tools DLC
4- Dota 2 - VR

I'm sure the 3rd and 4th DLC (if checked) won't cause any issue but I unchecked them because I didn't need them, when the problem occurred for the first time, the issue was fixed by unchecking the following DLC:

"OpenGL support for Windows"

After a couple of day, when the same update stuck problem occurred again, it was fixed by unchecking the following DLC:

"Vulkun Support"

It worked for me and may also work for you
