Dealing with Night Stalker on mid lane
I'm a mid lane player most of the time and every time I get to play against NS I'm having trouble.
He gets a bottle, urn, phase boots and then the ganks start.
He gets a poor mans shield so there is no harrasing, neither melee or ranged, in level 5 he already dived me under the tower with his Q.

Even after playing so much time, I can't handle him or it's very hard.
Any tips or some help how to deal with that guy?

Thanks in advance :)

Lesh is good. He can keep him down and has a stun and heavy slow.
QoP is good. Her Q keeps him low and slows him, while she has a great escape.
TP scroll :P

Well, then you talk about counter heroes for the lane :)
What happens if he picks last and I didn't pick one of those?
Btw idk of qop is so good against him late game when he got 8 sec silence..

She is, dont overextend so you got the tower backing you up. And like sam said, maxing dagger will keep him at bay. Other than that, rune control with help from your team to deny him both top and bot will do a great thing, as well as denying farm ofc. When playing against a mid like ns who relies heavily on ganks, warding will be essential. You can keep a tp with you to assist lanes getting ganked

its pretty hard if you did not counter pick him best thing is to stop him ganking by keeping a tp with you

Basically gank during the days and stay at tower and farm at night (the opposite of him). Warn your team when he leaves at night and he will be forced to stay mid and farm because there are no kills for him. This way he can't help his team with ganks until way later (has ult and enough levels to be relevant) and you can gank freely during the early days. Your team should do better thanks to your ganks and the lack of him interfering. As long as you have wards up he can't do anything (assuming your teamates understand that backing up and hiding is essential).

too bad his nuke mini stuns
TP after the mini stun.
The problem when have such a mid you need your support to rotate to help . Or he just farm his items and then its too late. you cannot always pick a counter to him when lets say he was last pick .

Also playing safe will just give him free farm. so if your supports not willing to help and call you noob just afk and let it end.

NS is one of those heroes built to dominate mid. Trying to counter pick isn't the best way... Outlaying him is pretty much the only option.

Viper shouldn't lose his lane if you max corrosive first to counter his night-time move and attack speed.

Meepo. Bonus magic resistance is nice. Nets keep him locked down at night. All his spells are single-target.

Plus he can gank almost as good as Night.

NS is pretty easy to deal with honestly, most common mistakes that they do is they instantly use their nuke skill, letting you able to escape 100% of the time if you react quick enough.
Just make sure to carry TPs and use it right after he uses his nuke on you.

As for out laning him, simply deny creeps and do small harrasses here and there, he only shines for the first couple nights, after 1-3 nights, he begins to fall if he doesn't get kills, he's a slow farmer, so just make sure your team doesn't get ganked by also helping them out when they need it, such as other suggested, tping to other lanes.

As for heroes who could easily beat him in mid on a 1v1, Invoker, Meepo, Huskar, Viper, Templar Assassin, Razor,Shadow Fiend(if played properly)Heck, even Medusa, she just needs to make sure he doesn't have enough mana most of the time and you're practically set.

Also, don't be afraid to ask for help on your supports to rotate, its their job after all, taking care of the carry isn't the only option for them.

Ask your teammates to rotate mid early and get at least one or 2 kills on him before the first night. If you pull that off he will be pretty gimped for the rest of the match.
