Dota 2

Why is MMR separated into two categories for ranked?
Why is there solo and party mmr? I get the premise of it, but in the reality of how dota 2 is played, it is not set up correctly. I can gain ranks on my party mmr nearly every game, but my solo mmr fluctuates. I get up to a certain point and then I land teams with one of the following zero team work, zero map awareness, zero knowledge of known strategies, zero ability to counter pick, or counter build. All you hear on these games from start to finish is report this person, report that person, muting everyone and their mothers. It is a madness, they are toxic games, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. The game is unbearably hard to play solo, and I doubt they made mmr separate because of this. It just doesn't scale properly. The best advice i've been able to find is that you need to pick a hero that is as broken as they can be and build yourself out of it. Which isn't how I like to play. I like to counter pick, I like to play the game the way I know how. I really dislike having to pick one hero to get myself to where I can counter pick.

So why are the mmr's separate?

maybe they try to show you how good are you playing in a team with your friends, and how good are you playing in a team with random stranger.
sounds resinable to me

It is a team oriented game. It shouldn't be subjected to if you queue up with a team or by yourself. At least that is my opinion, I am also stuck in a hellishly low mmr in solo.
