Thanks. It would be complex to develop a "corrupter aghanims" to every hero, but it would help balance and diversify builds. Since you can't have both, you also limit aghs swapping and some abuses.
The shard is more complicated because of the Tormentor RNG. Maybe it could award an item that, just like a neutral, you chose one of two options and get the "red" or the "blue" aghs shard. Dire tormentor could drop red, radiant could drop blue. As I said, another topic.

That is a good point. The idea is to keep the exact same price, thou, don't you think?
I mean, I think by definition the recipe itself can be the different ingredient: it's the same item, just done a different way, and costs the same and provides the same stats. So the balancing is all about what skill change the corrupted aghs would bring.
The idea is either to buy regular aghs or corrupted aghs. Both can be consumed with an aditional recipe. Both have the animation of when you get aghs (the little blue circle around the feet, but red for currupted aghs).
Once you buy one of the aghs, it kinda locks you into that aghs.
Just like talents, there is no "redo" button. Sure you get them all at 30, but keeping track of one aghanim's scepter for every hero is already a daunting knowledge task: with every hero having "two aghs scepter", maybe for balance it's better a system where you can have only one.
Just llike Anti-Mage could not equip Diffusal Blade in the past.
