Also playing with friends is the fastest way i found. you play with a party of friends and you all do your best and commend each other in the end. try it for 15,20 game and watch your BS increase.
How to find friends?! just add people from games. people who you liked playing with in solo matches. and accept friend requests.
1. Mute EVERYONE in a communication based game.
2. Be a good teammate(wow shocker)?
3. Pray to god you don't get someone unhinged on your team reporting for any reason.
they're free... but for some reason they would rather spam need wards.
On the other side, most of them are like 10k hours ingame. wich is more than a whole year. Imagine the state of their bain and the place that this GAME take in their life.
The best advice i can give to those kind of people is just, stop dota, focus on your rl life, it goes fast. I lost ppl i cared for few years ago, dota and other games was a hideout to flee rl issues. When i finaly pulled my head out of the game, few relatived were, litteraly, dead.
I lost few of the better years of my life, and it was just worst when i quitted than when i started.
Fix your RL life, fix your RL issues, then play. Dota don't worth wasting your early years guys. It's a good game, with the gooid mindset. But it's not important.
The basics are:
# To be understanding of team mates.
# Avoid causing conflict (allies and enemies).
# Be civil.
# Think about what you're saying before you say it.
# Don't be a sore winner/loser
I mean overall it isn't hard to not be a bellend, you just have to refrain from the internal voices and move forward. Most players will understand humour vs harassment and know when you're having a laugh vs being caustic.
What it all boils down to is how your conduct yourself. I am 12k and have been in the high end of the behaviour score pool throughout my time playing Dota.
Don't be toxic troll or griefer and both report and commend all ten players after every single game.
That way you have all your bases covered. You have the highest chance of raising your score while reporting anyone that may have reported you.
