It's a mystery as to why you wouldn't build this feature into the game, given it's obvious potential for overuse..
why? we paid for our chat wheel ! mute the player or deal with it
Yes you paid for your chat wheel, you still get to hear it so what's the problem?
It's almost like you're just a single digit iq troll just sheetposting...
No-ones asking to infringe on your right to listen to your own chat wheel spam, if that's how you get your sense of enjoyment from the game you still do.
You would undoubtedly be the kind of player that spams chatwheel rubbish. XD
I don't see the problem; my not wanting to listen to noise pollution doesn't affect your game.
It's literally a QoL thing that only affects those who don't want to hear this.
Why can you turn down music, voice chat, every other sound except rubbish meaningless nonsense?
why would you not just turn off the entire game's sound altogether?
Well I'm glad you asked, since it seems comprehending complex ideas may not be your forte.
If you mute people on your team entirely, you cut out their ability to occasionally share useful information, as opposed to cheesey chat-wheel noise. (I do accept that every once in 20 games someone actually uses chat wheel for useful info, but it's the exception)
Since Dota is a team game, and said useful information (however infrequent) may help the team perform better; it would be ideal to be able to cut out noise to make signal clearer (google signal to noise ratios, I'm guessing from your question it's not something you're across yet).
And lastly a lesson in strawman arguments/extrapolation fails, since you served up the opportunity.
Just because I pointed out that you have control over most other auditory outputs but not chat wheels, doesn't mean I turn them all to zero. (game would be boring af with no sound, and it's a team game so muting completely your teammates is and should be a last resort for only the most toxic of players, as opposed to people with poor impulse control for cheese chat wheel noise)
Hopefully this helps you reply with more complex understanding and less strawman rubbish next time.
Oh, so anything other than your viewpoint is 'unlogical'? (it's illogical, just trying to help you look less like an uneducated forum troll)
Something of a logical fallacy in itself no?
I see you're still the resident Forum troll with little to offer Dante.
How's getting a life outside Dota forums going for you?
One day I'll come back to Dota forums after 12+ months away and you won't be here injecting yourself into every thread. Till then, have fun with that life.
I will add communication from your teammates could be important, even if it is to be sure they didn't answer when you ask for smoke or Rosh. You can't mute the sound of the game either, sound is important, mk jump, pudge ulti and other important sound to hear.
People don't like that. And want a way out of it.
