The downfall of DotA2
Facts:
- No more dota pro curcuit, which was funamental for professional players.
- No more Battlepass
- No events
- Compendium was hated by the community and lacked content, beside "stickers" that can not even be used ingame.
- Lowest Ti prizepool since the first ti or something. Its not even 10% from two years ago.
- 10 year anniversarity was 10 skins that already existed in the game with a different color.
- Valve forbid people that made custom maps, to earn money with it anymore(which they could before)
- Rumor: They got rid of the people, that made skins for the game too, by not paychecking them anymore.
- Server capacity drastically reduced before ti patch, which made all server ultra laggy.
-Introduction of "behavior score system with unlimited reports for everyone, without balancing them correctly, leading to the majority of the community decreasing further and further.
- Pro players and custom map creators, also casual players boycotting Ti, some even the game.
- Announcements delayed and delayed again. Most recent being the "new skins after TI" - into "new skins after 16 november" and new hero not at ti anymore, also delayed to next YEAR
- lack of anymore new content
- new map and meta disliked by the most players also decreasing the playerbase.

Compared to earlier years, with multiple events throughout the year, dpc, growing community, custom maps, battlepass, new skins, sometimes multiple new heroes a year etc. etc.

Opinion: I heared a new dota will be made on battlenet, so may this be the reason for all the drastic changes, that were made here?

What do you guys think?

going to battlenet seems like a stretch like blizzard already has a bad rep.. why send the game to something thats already dying

All arcade server is down.

IMO: They dont care about players. So times come out soon for dota.

Exactly, we’re planting a work for another people. It’s existing as not balanced item. Let’s go to do something.

Anyway, my friend is have done the custom game.

arcade monetization is still alive because we basically breached the hole, which is by making sure monetization does not link directly to server (12v12 still has booster. you can buy, but instead of getting booster immediately by server, the map creator will manually do it for you), and lack of monitoring the situation by valve.

many people believe valve simply don't care about dota 2 because they are working on cs2. who knows how large the scale of the project. remind you valve employees are free to do any project they want (flat organization), so long as its 'impactful'. it seems working on dota 2 isn't very impactful at the end of year (the more work they put in impactful project, the more salary they get)

they make game bad like full year, and near ti suddenly they hype it up again, trying to get ez $, then after ti is over, the game is back in trash again.. not sure if i like to longer support this.. considering many/most normal companies care about their customers always.. sad ^^

this is what happens when the developers of this game are lazy fat incels who knows nothing but that programmed ♥♥♥♥ they stuff their brains.
that doesnt kill dota, only the developer could change. perhaps *cough* which would be good for all, so guess it happens one time not too soon

It's simpler than that, bro... They killed the pro scene and they introduced the dumbest comms score/system in the world... been downhill ever since.

comms report are made for weak snowflakes player just like the dumb idiot who made that system. if a player is annoying you can just mute them. thats why theres a mute button. and the worst is the punishment for comms compare to griefing/throwing are more heavy. stupid snowflakes.
