Smurf report results in no action taken.

You can report smurfs, sure.
But you wont get any notification that action was taken...
I made 1 report for toxic and 1 for grief. For both i got response, but not for the 20 smurfs i reported. And they were clearly smurfing. 200 games played ever and 20:2 stats on complex heroes, also high winrate in generall... What a joke valve, really...

Im not saying that they were not smurf, probably they were. but maybe they were not smurfing. 200 games played ever?! how did you know? their profile?! those numbers means nothing. and that 20-2, could be bot games. ill give you example. im lvl50 and if you look at my profile you will see that i have 700 game played. is that right?! no. i have 8k play hour. that number means that i only played 700 unranked/ranked game in 8k hour.
and you can see that i have 12-1 winstrike on morph.
im telling you these, because lots of people accuse me for smurfing. i pretty sure ltos of them reported me, and they even told me that they reported me, but nothing happens to me.

Nope i would not say that.
Here: 7344182452 5 Smurfs in enemy team, they even admited it.
Only one of them played more than 500 matches in total.
Clinks a bit more than 200 matches played.
And the other 3 all around 400 matches played EVER!
And yes the number on your level batch shows you pretty correct how many matches someone played.
If i look at mine, its correct, why should it be otherwise on other accounts?

Anyway, in my opinion, NOTHING CHANGED.
It got even worse.
Lost about 17 of 20 games, all of them unbalanced and simply not fair.
In all of them mostly 2-3 smurfs, and yes sometimes 5 smurfs in enemy team.
And when you report for smurfing, NOTHING happens.
You will get no notice about action taken.
I reported one for toxic and one for griefing.
I got 2 notice, that action will be taken.
I reported about 20 smurfs for sure and never got any notice.
Even when its so totaly clear, these new accounts are very skilled, and play way above their level/ rank.
Its a pathetic joke.
Maybe you fall for their lies, pretending smurfing is banable, but its just a lie.
You will matchwith the same smurfs, the ammount of smurfs wont change, you can report, but nothing will happen.
If they would ban smurfs, 50% of playerbase would be gone.
Get it, the only pretend to do so.
And from 90k smurfs who were ( banned) you maybe could read of 100 in total, here and on reddit...
and even if 1000 of them wrote a post.... its nothing.
They lie for money, thats all.

Seems that reps for smurfing works differently: Overwatch don't judge them first of all. So no "actions taken". Starting from some amount of reps for smurfing in total or per period account probably reviewed by human (you can rep smurfs in Steam also). Massive amounts of reps needed for sure because players often rep for smurfing any person with good KDA etc. No insider's info so we can only dream how it works. I believe that 90k accounts of boosters and stompers were banned btw. But they created 180k new already etc. No technical possibilities to stop this for real or you need some North Korean real life methods. No problems with proper smurfs btw and even human (not to mention AI) can't detect them. Boosters and derankers are just natural part of 50% system so they're just annoying and nothing more.

Because they do not want do anything. You see in beginning of Game most when it is Done. Most are Russians, and unranked, when you have 2 of them in enemy team, Game is Over before start, better do not fight and feed them.
They told banned 90000 smurf accounts, but every month it will more bad.
Thtey just lie, they do nothing against them.
My friends and me say only let us play Dota Smurf, and flip a coin if smurfed :) on last 10 Games, 7 flips for Smurf Gamer :)
You can only enjoy the few balaneced Games :)
When you see is smurfed Game, make tell your Players, and let them make, make absolut no sense to fight and feed.

Dude, when someone with 200 games played, stomps a whole team.
And has fat winstreak on other heroes and winrate of 80 or 90%.
Has knowledge of all heroes, how to counter, map awareness....
How is THAT not possible to detect?
When someone played a few matches and plays skilled, like someone with years of expirience...
HOW IS THAT NOT DETECTABLE?
They even know your ususal mousemovement, and on that they also can say if youre stressed or not.
Also they can say its you and your mousemovement, not of a booster...
Not sure if you trolling or if you really underestimate the technical possibilities nowadays.
they also could look for patterns of scriptings, alone with a look of timings from spells used.....

I mean creation of new smurf accs. You can ban millions, but they'll create gazillions. Until some face scanner account binding nothing will help. Im experienced software dev (not game dev, but still) and know this for sure.

Dota must cost something or they just remake accounts and go again,it will endless until in dota stay just smurfs and play against themselves...seems like valve accept it,and do nothing with.

System works, agressive scripts autodetects 100%(autosunstrike/autohex/autobountyhuntertrack and similar ones)
Why i know it works? Ill often have this type of players using them with a lot of report timestamps(i think this is then system triggers and find it suspicious) at overwatch replays.
But its only about this type of scripts and im not sure about maphack, tp vision and others soft cheating methods. Hope this triggers anticheat too)

Maybe they should start to fight the disease not the symptoms. What makes smurfing so attractive? The same price for a much less time and effort. Or the other way round, low ranked gaming has a better effort to win ratio than high ranked gaming. Once you have been on the top for prestige and you reached your skill ceiling playing on that account makes no sense anymore. A bad game design without any official chance to regrind.

no they didn't if they did dota 2 playerbase would've had 90,000 account loss in their dota 2 stats yet in the same month the dota2 stat had increased player count soo

Why would Valve ban smurfs? all that happens is it makes there game seem less played, they get nothing for doing so. They can lie to your face, but the numbers speak for themselves, they banned 90,000 accounts, but the average users over 24hours increased. sooner you realsie VALVE is here to do 1thing and thats get your money, they dont give a ♥♥♥ about the quality of low ranked free to play game
