This happens to me in a strange way. Sometimes because of the Rubik's arcana (the mini profile contains a Rubik's model with an arcana) even in the main menu, and sometimes only on the regular Rubik's model without objects.
I noticed a relationship between screen resolution: with a lower resolution, there is less chance of crashing.
For example,
running the game at 1024x768 resolution
launch of test lobby
choice of any hero except Rubik
adding an enemy or allied Rubik
the moment the rubik model appears, the game freezes, but then everything is fine
I have an intel uhd graphics 620. If I disable the video driver, the game will launch, but it will lag. Or, if I choose vulcan instead of dx 11, it doesn’t crash, but it lags.
One year old helps launch the game
open task manager
find the dota process
set high priority
launch test lobby
spawn several heroes
start a fight
wait 5 minutes
add rubik
profit
I can search for a game without fear of the game crashing
