Workshop takes a lot of space for no reason
I was playing a lot of custom games back in the day, have unsubscribed from every single one and thought that that's all i needed to do, but today found out that my workshop folder is around 10GB. Decided to delete everything from it manually, but steam downloads it all over again, and i have no clue why, since i am 100% sure i have unsubscribed from everything (deleted from the arcade in-game as well). Any suggestions?

Is it for ingame cosmetics that were submitted to valve and distributed in battle-passes or cosmetic caches? You need those for other people even if you never use it yourself...otherwise there's no flexing that they got cool exclusives or whatever.

But maybe there should be a slimmed-down version you can opt into that doesn't take 15-20 gigs just for cosmetics. Opt in but available would be nice.

No, there is a txt file that has a name of a custom game, so its stuff like Roshpit Champions, Custom hero chaos, and stuff like that, if you familliar. Roshpit for example is about 3.8GB, which is a lot

In Steam, right click Dota 2 and select "Properties...", then go to the Workshop tab and unsubscribe from the stuff you don't want.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
