Maybe you haven't played for a long time?
The question is how you managed to lower it. The only thing that comes to mind is mmr decay.
this happens when someone abandons ranked for a long period of time, how long im not sure but in immortal rank I think its much shorter time period
recalibration overrides it, mmr decay is usually mid season
I guess it can be tied to long period of inactivity with mmr decay that wasn't reflected or noticed or absolute bust during calibration, but it isn't like I did well and still got like 600 mmr or something.
