That said, I still think this is one of the best esports title ever made. Loads of mechanics to exploit. Tons of synergies and counters. Great variety of playstyles to try. It started out as a mod, and it still plays like one, albeit polished over 2 decades.
If you start now as someone who has never played MOBA's before, expect to get blown up in seconds by opposing players.
I've seen videos on yt and I'm a little scared about the amount of mechanics in this game and I'm more casual player
There are better games out there instead of this especially when you said you're a casual player
Try Overprime/ Precedessor
Naraka Bladepoint has 100k player base
Games from these devs care more about their games than Dota 2 don't waste your time on this ♥♥♥♥ game
Probably worth trying at least but you definitely need to put a lot of dedication into it because it takes a lot to learn
midlane role: qop (get like 20 games playing it, master it... then other midlane heros will be easy to learn), after u should play death prophet. if u feel powerfull with this 2 heros u can learn anyone except for meepo, invoker and lone druid, u need more experience using a lots of keys.
if u want to play the support roll u need to start with jakiro or cristal maiden, then lion, shaman, dazzle.
