Matchmaking has been always questionable in Dota

After gaining more 200-250 MMR last week, my matches started to get weird, this is not new. To those who say matchmaking is not depending on winrate, matchmaking will match you with low impact players in your rank. After that, lose 7 to 10 matches and watch your teammates, you see the difference.

Anyway, this shouldn't be like this, I think it is unfair. It should be random.

No. They will always say that the match was fixed by Valve and you personally were the one to unfairly win the match cause of rigged mm.

I mean yea, this is defo a thing. I went from Guardian 3 to Crusader 3 and got bigger idiots than anyone I encountered in Guardian.
Now I just enjoy the game and give 0 sh*t about rank, Namaste my friend.

Here's an alternative explanation. Valve would dump new players in archon historically regardless of skill and you are seeing hard stuck no skill players from higher ranks as they are falling. Maybe they put someone who is falling with someone who is climbing as you both are conceivably outside your rank and this somehow makes games fairer. Which is faulty logic and would suck, but is some thing I could imagine valve caring about.

Yep, if you win too many in a row, you are guaranteed to have ruiners who run down mid (most often with questionmark avatars) in your team. And most often those feeders will flame and report you too, as an added punishment for daring to win games.

Nothing special about you. It's the same for everybody. But if it doesn't appeal to you, it comes down to the two questions: can I change it? and can I deal with it?. If you have persistently two times "no" on this questions, leave the game for good.

Yeah really those players with questionmark avatars thet are just a punishment. But the commentfrom "fck matchmaking/allmuted" gave a good advice, I think it helps. Just dare to play normal matches, try something new and kind of lose there, then winrate goes down.

How can you change it? Losing som normal games helps actuelly. I am not smurf so that I will win game 1 vs 5. What else can you do?

My best was like a 40 out of 45 game win in a row from crusader 3 to legend 5. After that i got like literally 3 v 5 games, i mean all ancient 1s and legend 5 cores that had little to know clue. So i lost like 25 ish literally in a row, then couldn't be bothered after that. Now im divine 1 but for what, the match making still behaviour dependent so it pairs me with rejects over and over again. So you end up just mucking about, waiting for a 25 min game to end in 55 when your team doesn't want to push. Been like it since 2018 tho

No, it is not since 2018, it is 2013. The same abusive rule has been there since day 1 of Dota 2.
Yes, you will lose no matter how hard you try. You will be paired with players who don't want to win but only to make you mad. They will feed, they will grief, they will use Rubic to toss you into enemies, they will block your camps buy using your wards, and they will not be punished.
Any human intervention is wrong and not fair, a simple function call of "random" would solve all the problems. Not to mention the evil intention of Valve developers is to keep you playing FOREVER.
Valve will change anything BUT matchmaking, that is my theory. Because they kept it for 10 fk years.
