Dota 2
Items Stolen without steam app without permission in trade
It's been 2 days since I reported this to steam support and still haven't gotten any replies from them on how to deal with my situation.

To begin someone chatted me in steam if i would like to join a non pro Dota 2 tourney without knowing it was a scam. And he asked me to go to a website named EPULZE i thought it was like Faceit or something, I Signed in but without using my steam account or any emails that is related to my steam just to be safe.

Then another chatted me this time I thought It was a bot from steam named "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥". I didn't knew any better and just do it until i realize it was bad and this could harm my account. And just blocked both of them.

Here's chat image https://imgur.com/a/4KUrSJg

Until 2 days of nothing happen on my account, while playing Dota I never knew they where already making trades on my Items without my permission or accepting the trade in my steam phone app. I knew it had already happened after i woke up the next day that all of my items where missing in my account. I checked everything and they already took all my Items from Dota.

this is all of my items that where traded without my conformation from the steam app

I look for answers and checked if i have a steamAPI, which surprisingly I have I don't even know I had it since i don't even know it existed, I revoked and change all of my passwords that is connected to my steam accounts.

I really hoped that i was safe from all the security have had gotten enabled just to make my account and items safe to no avail. the fact that they can do trades without me knowing they where taking all my stuff hurts alot.

I still do hope steam would reply to my reports and shed some answers. :steamsad:

if it's the first time you've got your account compromised, steam might deal with it if it is something they consider to be a breach.

i do not know what you actually did for what the actual trigger was and i'd assume you somehow leaked your steam guard verification which i highly doubt you did.

you can still get phished in this day despite having steam guard as it evolved, to begin with, some methods bypass the verification methods previously as it forcibly bypass email verification and/or without notice, depending on the scenario, go through steam guard.

i dont know what method did you fall for exactly, but i assure you, steam guard didn't really change much as methods are capable of catching up to completely bypass verification due to whatever method they got your information by.

Had this happen to me years ago, not the same scam (was a key logger img).
Valve got back to me in like 2 to 3 days. All trades were reversed.
They will ask you to change password and all of that. But honestly, if you have the option, it is best to install a clean copy of windows then change password.
Sucks big time, I lost about £5k worth of items all whilst I was in a game. Defo a learning curve

Support will not return items to you.

Ooooooof, glad I got my stuff back before Valve changed their standing on the matter :)
