Crash + Freeze during in game match

Currently i am facing a problem that my pc get crash during in-game match and i have to force restart in order to get back in game for SEVERAL times, ended up i got a low priority game..

INTEL CORE i5-10500
RTX2060S
DDR4 32GB
500GB PCIE NVME SSD + 480GB SATA SSD
WIN11PRO
650W PSU

I have done update my windows to the latest, latest GPU driver updates as well, set dota2 as administrator, compatibility mode to windows 8, set my PC virtual memory, and even reinstall dota2 but the problem still persist. Please help

yes and it is very annoying and damaging my firmware due to kept on force restart my god

I have the same problem. The game crashes once a day right in the middle of a match. Completely freezes the screen. Only a reboot helps.

Here's what I did, and you can try it:
- I disabled mpo today.
- Rolled back the gpu driver to 2022.
- Switched the mode from full screen to in a borderless window.

No crashes so far, but that's not an indicator. You need at least a week without crashes, or better 2 weeks, to be sure that the problem is solved.

These are the most popular solutions I've found on the internet. If it helps, I'll let you know. Also if that doesn't help, I will try switching from dx11 to vulkan.

Do you only have a problem with dota? Do you experience such problems with other games? Do you just get screen freezes? Can't move the cursor? Can you hear the game sounds?

Other games such as csgo its totally fine.

Only problems with dota..screen freeze but i am able to move my cursor and i do hear map sound like bird chirping but i wont hear gameplay sound

Try this:
- Disable the mpo.
- Roll back the gpu driver to stable version.

If any of these doesn't help, try to install WIN10, I find that some users have same problems in Dota 2 with WIN11.

Same thing. Started from few patches ago. After last patch it became less frequent but still this shouldn't be happening at all

OK, thoughts for these few days is that , after i done reinstall graphics driver, everything went smooth UNTIL today, this sickness appear again, and now i have reinstall the graphics driver again, i would not know after few days later what will it be..

Guys,I hope this will help some of you.All I did and could find for freezing and crashing...I have lenovo y510p with 8GB RAM and two GeForce gt750m of 2GB.My laptop is since I bought it naturally very high in temperature when proccesing .To 90C when in game.So,I did everything I've found from basics like cleaning(I use CCleaner,for me it's the best-finding duplicates,free but more torough cleaning),bought a cooling pad,changed thermal paste,installed free antivirus,did device manager updates,task manager startup programs disable...I've recently installed Wise Memory Optimizer which is very simple and does the job of freeing up space.When loading Dota for example,my memory usage goes to 95 % so I've checked paging file system and tried it,but did not made any difference so I've turned it off.I have Intel Extreme Tuning Utility which I use for observing CPU and GPU termal throttling,temperature,voltage,cores and all my system specs...I also did disk defragment and some tips and tricks in registry editor I've found on youtube.My basic issue was when loading high performance games,my screen would freeze,sound and game would go on but my screen could not keep up the speed of performance.Some games would just crash.Yeah,everybody said is my graphic card problems but actually my graphic cards are very good.I used my Nvidia Control Panel settings for certain programs and made some difference there...Nothing helped me in stop crashing and freezing,but only made my pc faster.Oh,and I have SSD on both disks 3 yrs now.I've changed termal paste once in my 8 year old pc.I can't use my PC without my charger ever cause battery is exhausted and it would run out after 30-40 mins...So it is always on but I use Lenovo Energy Management which came with Pc ,but after Windows 10 it disapeared so I had to reinstall it from their official support site.I use Windows 10 pro.My pc was always on high and best performance settings so I figured maybe balance between performance and quality is needed...I did dota2 In game settings puting all graphical options to low,deleted some video files,reinstalled it on D drive,verified integrity of game files, altho never had major issues with lagging or high performance,tried some launch options aswell..My screen still kept freezing which made me to stop the program with task manager again and again.So after observing and playing with in game settings,GPU,CPU and RAM health and doing everything I know I figured my PC is to high in performance and power and it is not synchronized with video..So the game then crashes or freezes.I've changed my power plan options in making a new power plan and put Maximum proccesor state to 80%,Multimedia settings -When playing video Plugged in to balanced,Paused Desktop background settings Slide show and changed Power saving mode in Wireless adapter settings when Plugged in from Maximum performance to Low Power Saving.My Pc is on maximum battery life charged to 100% and then I put it on optimized battery health which is really good for Li-on batteries...It stays on 100% now.I did this cause I've noticed when my pc gets a lot of power from charging everything fastens and game after some time crashes or screen just freezes.After I unplug the charger,I can play without problems...Now I am a bit lucky I think and succeded in leaving charger on but without more power.I use power plan when I am gaming cause my freezing and crashing does not happen anymore!.Everything is a bit slower(not in game tho),but stable, slow enough so the screen can't freeze or crash a game anymore and I can play normally and happily..So,the key is in balance always with everything ,including PC. In short I can be connected to playing on fully charged battery on notebooks.

But it may be skinners box effect.
