fix rank confidence and smurf detection.

i have been assulted by smurfs/ streamsnipers as a streamer. it has been impossible to win matches vs them. gettting one or 2 of them in my games in about half of them. on a daily basis. always the same 3 accounts (i wish valve would ban them already)

anyway i wish rank confidence wouldnt go up or lose us less mmr if a smurf is detected in a game. pretty bs whne i lose almost 40 mmr in a completely 1 sided game.

Hello Bradley Dragon,

How do you propose that the smurfs should be detected? For your idea to work there should be some way to detect the smurfs, but this detection algorithm should have a low false positive rate so that actual players aren't unfairly punished by the algorithm!

Hi. If you're having issues with stream snipers, try adding a delay to your stream or employing other tactics such as hiding your minimap.

If this still doesn't work, maybe take some time off streaming to focus on improving at and enjoying Dota more, off stream. If you aren't streaming, there is no incentive for someone to stream snipe you, and you could also focus on things outside of Dota such as your career, spending time with friends/family, and relationships. At the end of the day, it's only a game.

If there are only 2-3 people trying to queue against you, how do they keep ending up in your games? There are currently 500k people playing dota. Is the issue that your mmr is so high that its a very small player pool?

Please provide even a single shred proof that you aren't just delusional and accusing innocent people (of which you have a long history of) You could try playing unranked games or just watching boring youtube videos and maybe they will get too bored of watching you. (And totally not what they're trying to do)

As of May 4th, Herald has the least amount of players in it (1.77% of the player base is currently Herald I to IV while Divine I to V is roughly 3.5% and Crusader I to V is roughly 30%).

And seeing who the streamer is, I'd guess his mmr is too low that he is forced into a very small player pool with players of similar iq/skill. Probably should put a 1-5 minute delay on or get use to it like other streamers.

i literally had a tinker scripter that was vs me last stream. watched replay and there was no doubt at all that he was scripting. mouse was teeporting between heros within 10ths of a second multiple times in straight lines. also the guy had a vac on record. once a dirty chater always a dirty cheater i guess.

a combination of guarenteed loss vs the twank and britz cheater guild players. ( they use scripts and cheats 100%) and also the same players mass reporting me for communication abuse (falsely). they chunked my bs down to like 5.9k so its up to 30 min ques now...

I was the tinker yesterday and I can tell you I don't script. I have 2 working hands with 5 working fingers in each.

100% Valve need to step up their game against smurfs. Forsen, recently played against a smurf, you would think such a high profile streamer would result in that smurf getting banned instantly but no, that didn't happen and that Ranked match counted against him. So, it's more likely that glicko allows a dynamic community where people of varying skills are going to be present in all ranks to.some extent. And it seems like people expect others to have been sorted into ranks after only 2 weeks. That's impossible. People who are only touching ranked for the first time this patch get the same benefits from glicko as you all did. You have wrong expectations complaining about smurfs.

Smurfs don't just play Ranked... In fact, most smurfs can't even play Ranked until they've played enough non-ranked or attached a phone number to their account...
