Dota 2
Playerbase still declining after 7.33 update
Just check the charts on steamdb.

Some thoughts: What option is left for the people who didn't enjoy this new map? Are we simply supposed to stop playing?

Because if you enjoyed the new map, you can just play and enjoy it, but what about people who didn't?

Correct. Either stop playing it if you hate it, get used to the changes like everyone's been doing ever since Dota 2's been out, or throw yourself in the arcade section and play the old map that someone has probably posted the same way people have been posting old dota events like diretide, agh labs, dark moon and so on.

No?... Still stable as a heartbeat, plus-minus 50k. That's fairly acceptable as far as i'm concerned.

And to answer last question - they have to deal with it, its that simple, unfortunately.
The rest will figure itself out, just give it couple more months. We're not even 3 weekns into the update yet and i still don't see how the game is "dying", minus all the doom thread arouns here.
Again: 600k daily players for a game this old is a LOT. I do not understand how people see this as failure. Call when peak player counts starts hitting 400k and lower - that's probably when we should start actually worrying.

if you like the old map, look for communities that host the old map or quit.

If you had actually bothered to check steam DB yourself you would know DotA2 is, in fact, not declining: https://steamdb.info/app/570/charts/

It has held the same 3/4 of a million concurrent peak playerbase a day since 2017.

Yeah, from 800~700K before the patch and now 600K Peak after the patch sure.

They barely made any big changes over the 12 years ive been playing, in 12 years they've only changed roshan location twice, tower distance, then the camps that was it. This big change i can't explain.

I uninstalled and stopped cold turkey,
This update is an insult for the older players so I'm out of this but I still check the forums every now and then to see how worse this situation is going to get.

Old players are mad that they have to learn new things instead of having their 6k hours of sweaty trying over 10 years allowing them to stomp on new players.

Oh well, good riddance. Get used to a new patch or leave. It's been 20 years since Dota Allstars started as a WC3 map. People gotta get over when things change. Everyone who left after the couriers changed? Whatever, good riddance. This is exactly the same.

na this is just a ♥♥♥♥ update full of bug and totally unbalanced with a ranked sistem made with the ass, nothing more, new map not even need to mention it since a monkey with a single harm was able to do it better probably, lol.

Same here been just reading the discussions and it's mainly from older players complaining about the new matchmaking and about the map you can even check on reviews there are people with over 8K hours complaining.

So just because it's been the same way over the years with little alterations they're supossed to make a huge change without a warning ?
Also by that thinking Chess should be allowed to make such huge changes? Football as well ?
Just look at maps from other games like Dust 2 from counter strike how much has changed over 20 years in different counter strike games ?

Someone can't read graphs / interpret data very well it seems. Take another look at those graphs and try again at telling me what you see.

Dota has gone on to embarrass every single person that has claimed it was dying by surviving on with a colossal player base even years after the "it's-all-over" type people start screaming and panicing.
