Dota 2
Is DOTA 2 casual friendly?
Hi, it's [REDACTED]. You probably don't know me, and if you do, it's probably for that one discussion I made about DOTA 2 about its overrated status. (WAIT DON'T KILL ME YET, IT'S OVERRATED BY VALVE, NOT BY ITS COMMUNITY, THE COMMUNITY IS PERFECTLY FINE, ALRIGHT?)
Anyways, I've heard about DOTA 2, but never really played it. And I am curious about it, mainly since, well, it's made by Valve. And Valve has made some real great games. (Half-Life, Portal, TF2, and the GOD RICOCHET.) But I wanna know if the game is casual friendly: good for players not really interested in competitive, but rather to jump in and out for fun. Appreciate any player who finds this discussion and leaves a comment to help me.

Casual friendly in what terms?
Dota 2 is nowhere casual friendly in terms of actual casual friendly cuz game requires consistent coordination and teamwork expecting a lot from random strangers leads to toxicity by this type of game design

In terms of difficulty dota 2 is certainly getting easier for noobs to learn quicker compared to the past with newer features but its still harder than other MOBA like LOL etc there is non competitive modes like unranked and turbo mode but most dota 2 players are tri hard which defeats the purpose of this mode anyway

You might not know this but out of all multiplayer games valve ones like CSGO and TF2 are the most toxic games* compared to other non valve multiplayer games that's why I'd suggest to avoid this game as much as possible especially valve multiplayer games

Its not a game to jump in and out for fun because this game requires dedication and attention to keep up with the meta of the patches otherwise its bad for every player in the match and gets worse as solo player but party makes it slightly better however the matchmaking is the bane for all players which leads to algorithmic based outcomes for the players which is highly manipulative and players can't even avoid this like they used to and even then the option was hidden from the players which is not available in current patch and time*

I'd suggest excellent alternatives to Dota 2 if you want casual, multiplayer and MOBA experience

Overprime or Predecessor are what I'm playing right now much better compared to Dota 2 coming from old time Dota 1 and 2 player
These games are way better than Dota 2 for casual like you cuz its actually more casual than Dota 2 FPS Multiplayer MOBA evolution to the MOBA genre imo
