There's no difference friend, it's just a different form of item description. however, if we were to analyze it, the spell amp should increase range, damage, healing, stun... but that's not how it happens. if not everyone would be doing kaya for all heroes. I believe it's just the damage that increases in both cases. dota is in a bad phase to play ranked! here's a tip. accounts are very uneven. byebyee

Having tested it on Necro Q, it seems there is no difference. My initial thought was that one could be additive and one could be multiplicative e.g. Relic + Kaya would be 15% additive and then 8% multiplicative - (100 + 15) * 1.08 = 124.2 - So the 8% spell amp would result in 9.2% spell damage increase here.

However Necro Q with no items on an Axe with 6 hearts does 187. So if the above was true, with Kaya + TR the damage should be (187*1.15) * 1.08 = 232

If the above isn't true, and it's all additive, then this becomes 187 * 1.23 = 230

Having tested, the damage is the latter and not the former. So in terms of damage done. Spell Amp and Spell Damage mean the same and are additive with each other.

The only other thing I tested was if it would increase flat based healing, to differentiate between damage and amplification. But it doesn't.

Seems to just be literally unplayable
