cosmetics aren't that big of a market.
Valve released their numbers as to how many people get the battlepass arcanas every year and the number is 5%.. people who claim to want them re-released are very much less likely to actually buy them. (note that the 5% is not of all players, but from those who go past level 500 each year)
You're probably right. But I'm one of those who would like to pay. I guess more options for players is not a bad idea. But dota2 seems to be one of the hardest way for valve to make money, especially compared to just selling games and so.
