How to deal with Luna?
I have problem dealing with Luna on the opposite team. Every time there is a Luna on the opposite team, most likely i will lose.

She is a really powerful 1v1 because of her lucent beam, aura, and ultimate. Using ultimate for 1v1 scenario is kinda bad, but it means the ultimate will strike only one target. Using ultimate early-mid game to ensure kills is legit imo.

She is a good teamfight carry because of her aura, moon glaive, and her ultimate. Lucent beam can be used to stop channeling too (Death Ward for example) which is pretty good.

She is amazing at pushing because of moon glaive, and she can destroy buildings easily after a T3 falls.

Most basic way to counter carries is to kill their early game, but it is not easy to shut down an opposite carry if there is a babysitter in lane. Even if I disrupt her laning phase, Luna can farm really fast to catch up. Ganking her often is hard if there are amazing space creators, and if she is aware of ganks.

Her weaknesses are
- Paper, but it can be fixed by BKB and lifesteal. Later on, She can buy Satanic to make her even tankier.
- Low range, but it can be fixed by Dragon Lance, that fixes her range, and it gives her more attack speed+HP for mid game.
- Bad attribute growth, can be helped by buying Manta, her natural item.
- Bad attack speed, but it can be fixed by buying Yasha, and Power Tread.
- No escape mechanism, but she can still slip away from ganks even if she got stunned because of her 330 ms and her annoying allies.

Her Aghanim's upgrade is insane. Extremely high damage output that can be casted on an area from safe distance. I know if the ulti can be countered by BKB, but still. It can kill supports or papers in seconds. Pipe can reduce the damage, but the shield can be poped by single strike and often won't save teammates, or maybe the holder as well.

She can be beaten by harder carry, but she is a mid game carry, not really a late game carry, so she can leave that to her late game carry. She can support her late game carry by her aura, and by creating nice space at mid game.

So how can you deal with her? I know she is not "OP" at all. Any tips to deal with her is appreciated.

a good teamwork, stuns, slows, disables, silence, bkb, actually it depends on you and your party skills, silveredge disables passives

Heroes with heavy illusions don't hurt. CK, etc. Glaives aren't fun, but it lets you tank them instead of your team. Same with her ult.

Meepo's fantastic against her. Unless she's able to keep up with you in farm you'll beat her 9 games out of 10.

Jugger can eat her for breakfast. :P
Or if you don't want to pick anything special just fore her, stay with your team, avoid 1v1 against her.

We have monsters like Invoker, Spectre, and Bounty Hunter this patch but you're worried about Luna. I envy you for playing in a bracket where your greatest threat is the fragile cat lady of orbital strikes.

CK is a horrible suggestion. Illusions? Glaives? No thx.

Slark the fish can counter her
Jugger can counter her
Even riki can counter her
It depends on how you treat her,if you let her farm and solo push then say goodbye to your barracks.

She is still farm dependent and don't fight without creep if you kno her ulti is on cd or she's playing aggresively

Invoker and Bounty Hunter is not a big problem for me. Invoker is only scary if he got levels, if he does not get any, he is dead. Most Bounty Hunters are so dumb. They farm dagon instead of gank early game and use it to KS carries' kill. I don't remember when is the last time I see BH with drum.

I pick rubick for countering luna, whenever she uses ulti, i keep my distance safe, steal her ulti and use it. She will suffer from her own ulti. Just keep yourself safe when stealing.

As i said, the glaives are fine. You end up tanking them and the ult beams, making more room for your teammates in fights.

If I'm going up against a hero that does more damage the fewer heroes there are in her radius, I'm picking up illusion heroes.

You're overestimating her glaives. They bounce 6 times at max level. Sure, if CK has 2 illusions and they each have 1000 health it wouldn't work. But CK can easily have up to 5 illusions, each with at least 2000 health. So when she's doing minimal damage to tanky illusions, and her q doesn't matter, and her ult doesn't matter, she's not very dangerous.

Lol, it works. I read in dotapedia that when rubick use luna's ulti, it depends on luna's lucent beam level

LOL - Luna is very very soft, maybe like CM :X
And very very short range
So:
- He is so soft
- Very short range
But:
- Strong in 1 vs 1 with her ulti
- Farm fairly well
- Nuker good
- Good in combat

I think this is the balance of the game,
