As it was said before kda is not an absolute indicator of skill. I can show both my great and worst kda games, and my skill in great kda was usually worse than in best.
Yes as valve fights with mmr inflation higher ranks go down in rating so you can consider at least one full rank down happened. (I.e former legends are now archons, former ancients now legends and so on.)
Not that you should sweat it. Dota I'd a deep complex game and every day you can know something new about it. That's how we play it for thousands of hours.
Just don't blame the game. It's pretty much always skill issue.
