Valve recently came up with the news about ceasing gambling sites, will that means there will be no more bettings ???

God, really f**k those TmarTn and PsiSyndcate who brought all these unecessary gamble drama.

You have to stop under aged children from gambling somehow. And Valve is responsible for creating the entire gambling scene. Come on, even opening crates/chests is gambling. And In a lot of cases under aged children do get addicted. I feel Valve has a large part of the responsibility here and should be punished for turning a blind eye. I also feel that if TmartN and company did not do what they did, this would not have been such a issue now. But this entire case opened peoples eyes to how much money was involved (2.3 billion pr year) in this gambling ring inc Valve and the 3rd party sites. Valve is sued so only time will tell. But I am sure the gambling/betting sites will be hit hard. So many parties are involved and at high levels in this case. It might be the end of the csgo trade, or at least it will be hit hard and prices will drop dramatically. But I do not gamble so I do not care. Items will go down in price and thats all that matters for me.

When I found out about this whole gambling circle, Valve dropped a few points in my eyes. It is just such a disappointing affair and I thought Valve to be better than this.

they really need the bets to exists or their business will go down, a huge amount of game spectators pay attention to their games because they did place a bet previously
if there is no betting availability, they will for sure lose a huge amount of attention and their game will speed up its path to oblivion

They don't need the option to double up on items they just need to implement predictions into csgo in some fashion like they have done with dota 2

You might be correct. The statement only said gambling, and I thought Valve would include betting if they were going for them. Some sites only handles bets and has no gambling section.

It is very sad, i'll be honest I bought so many arcana just to bet then lose them all after winning some bet.. but it is really getting addicted, Every monthly salary I buy items just to bet and lose... Dunno. But Im thinking the big picture here on how will this effect dota 2.
