He is pretty balanced, easy to kill, unable to trade with most at the lane and don't have enough damage to kill or harass solo. His ultimate has a huge cooldown and require kill to grow.

he has a lot of "point targeted" skills which makes LINKEN'S pretty useless, unlike lina or doom. maybe his skills pattern will become like that in the future

No, he was and he is one if the best supports. Also you dont need to kill person with his ult , just activat it before targeted hero dies (i had case when i was killed by PA simultaneously when enemy lion used his ult on me, i recived no dmg, cuz was dead, but he gain charge, i havent even been damaged - disabled by him, lol), not to mention 3 sec delay.

BKB, Linken's, Lotus Orb if you're so inclined. If you're a strength hero, pick up Sange and maybe even Halberd for the Status Resistance.

He should only gain charge for killing stunned targets or control affected targets with his ulti.
So there is will be a reason he has to make combo for get permanent reward of kill.

Absolutely not. Linken protect from initiation. Lion has 4 Target skill, but he can't use them in the same time. And only one of his skills has no cast time. Once linken is off Target immidiately escape with skill or items, pop bkb or disable/kill you.
And the problem is that enemy heroes do not die by themself, nor by lion only, unless some idiot feed him ALOT.
He is too dependent on other to be able carry your carry/mider.

yep after using lion too much after i posted this i can likely tell, you can counter it if you stop playing selfishly and have a good draft and good item preferences, pugna irritated me the most as a counter tho..
