the problem is that those days EVERY game is getting updates that make it easyer ...
also, people flame in EVERY game as bad as there .. it is just that in the oter games the chat isn't in the middle, and it's smoller, so that you don't see them flaming
just mute everybody as soon as someone starts flaming and play unraked ... if you get lpq it is becayuse YOU are the problem
Because it has absolutely zero comeback mechanisms. Your mid die 5 times and the game is over.
Becuase it hwas the worst community there is.
Russians even in Peruvian server.
I have been playing Dota 2 for about two years. I can not speak to what Valve is or is not doing with the game. I believe the obnoxious stuff stands out but the majority of the players are friendly, helpful and cooperative. The complaints in discussion threads also stand out, especially poor spelling, but from time to time there are some great discussions and fun ones too.
I think that the Dota 2 blog explains matchmaking well and while I would like to seemore player chosen search parameters added, I think such will increase match finding times. I believe the forced 50% win rate is a myth. The blog also explains this. If you are winning about 50% of the time but your rating is increasing, you are doing well.
Matches I have played differ so much from each other it is hard to categorize play. I think the best players (and I am a bad player) go in with the expectation that they will be playing any role, any hero and look for a way to win with the team mates they have, and they move on to the next match.
Having to spend money on the game is not necessary. Rather, the free-to-play, pay if you want, model likely accounts for a fairly large player base. I don't like every thing about the game but I like enough. Furthermore, the game works, unlike some paid games that no longer work because something was altered with a patch. So I will stick around. I'm glad you shared your thoughts on Dota as well. It seems worth checking out. I was a fan of Warcraft II and quite enjoyed it. Hope things improve.
That is all, but true. Dota comeback mechanics is almost broken. I've got games where we won like 5 teamfights and never lost one, but since we lost a single teamfight at min 25 we were never able to retake the advantage. If your other lanes don't feed, kill the ennemy mid 2 times and it will give you so much gold and xp that you will be able to come back. It can even be positive if the ennemy wins the early games, because when your team as a disavantage even farming give you a lot more gold than is does to your ennemy. So if your team is behind, but your carry is farming in peace, he will get fat really quick.
Step 2: Get a life
Step 3: Realise your role in being offended and mute if must
Step 4: Punch self in face
